Everyone in the reviews complaining about the prices must not travel much, because they actually have very decent prices compared to other hotels and resorts around the state. “ Despite the bad press Sunseeker has received while they worked out all the kinks, my husband and I had a very enjoyable experience there this evening. We arrived at 4 pm in search of a very late lunch/early dinner. We did a lot of walking to discover that the steakhouses were not open yet, so at 4:20, we decided to check out The Stadium. The hostess let us in a few minutes prior to opening time (4:30) and explained we could get a drink while waiting on the kitchen to open. The atmosphere was cool and relaxing, with a variety of seating options, which included four-tops, circle booths, recliners, and traditional bar seating. We chose to sit at the bar and had prompt and friendly service from Kyle. The beer was cold, and though we had to wait a few minutes for the iced tea to brew, it was worth the wait. We put in our food order with the understanding that the kitchen was just opening in a few minutes. To our surprise, the head chef sent out complementary chips and queso as an apology for the wait, even though it had only been 15-20 minutes. We thought that was a nice touch, and certainly not one that we expected. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the chicken wings. My salmon was cooked perfectly, had a delicious beurre blanc, and was served with tendercrisp steamed squash and loaded, mashed potatoes. I ate every single bite! My husband enjoyed the wings and said the sauce was just right - not too spicy for his liking. We enjoyed a very pleasant conversation with Kyle, and we were checked on multiple times by both Chef Jason and the female manager, whose name we did not catch. Because we were so early, we had the place mostly to ourselves, and it was very cool and quiet in there. With all the seating options and multiple big screen TVs, we decided this will be an ideal place to watch a game or a fight. We will definitely be back! If you had an unpleasant experience at Sunseeker during their first six months (as we did), I would encourage you to go back and give them another try. It always takes time to work out the kinks and they are really trying hard to give everybody a wonderful experience. Just remember: it’s a resort, so expect resort pricing! If you are on a budget, maybe don’t visit a resort and then complain about higher prices. ”
